SME R&D Projects (Funding Round 1)

Ten R&D projects have been selected to receive over £1.2 million of funding plus a comprehensive package of support.

This includes mentoring from a leading academic, delivery support from a postdoctoral researcher (or equivalent expertise), as well as ongoing project management and strategic business support from the BFTT team.  

The awarded projects cover a range of sub-sectors and R&D areas, from bio-material development to non-woven textiles, sustainable surface finishing processes, on-shoring of sustainable manufacturing, new business models and new digital solutions for products transparency and traceability.

Projects will start between February and April 2020. We will announce the name of the awarded companies on 31st March 2020.
