BFTT Researchers at the 26th Annual Green Chemistry Conference

Our researchers Dr Joe Houghton and Hannah Auerbach George, both Postdoctoral Research Fellows and Marie Stenton, our PhD student in Challenge 6 – Rethinking Material Resources presented at the 26^th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference in Reston, USA.

They highlighted the importance of reproductive protein fibres (RPFs) throughout history and the current developments in research and design processes that can be made greener using alternatives and contemporary technologies.

The presentation was acknowledged by the Chair of the session, Dr Laura Hoch, Materials Innovation at Patagonia;

“I really enjoyed learning about your work and I particularly appreciated all the different perspectives that you and your colleagues were able to weave into the story. It really highlighted the benefits and unexpected learnings from interdisciplinary work!”
