Sustainable Consumption Conference – Post COP26

BFTT Director, Prof Jane Harris, and Deputy Director, Dr Kate Goldsworthy, presented at the Sustainable Consumption Conference – Post COP26. They discussed how BFTT is working with Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to develop an entire fashion, textiles and technology ecosystem throughout the UK.

Other contributors included WRAP UK, Centre for Sustainable Fashion at the University of the Arts London and Elvis & Kresse, one of the BFTT-funded SMEs. The company’s CEO Kresse Wesling CBE highlighted how capital investment and government legislation could contribute to SMEs responding to sustainable business models that could tackle textiles waste.
