BFTT featured in BBC and UKRI podcasts
Our Director, Professor Jane Harris took part in the Green Thinking: Fashion podcast hosted by the BBC, together with Professor Simon McQueen-Mason, who is Chair in Materials Biology at the University of York. They discussed how Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are inventing laboratory grown fabrics to recycled school jumpers and a single pair of jeans for life.
Also, our Creative SME R&D Programme Manager, Nikki Matthews participated in the ‘Fast fashion, organic cotton and sustainable shopping’ podcast, part of the series Emissions: Impossible?, curated by UK Research and Innovation. During this podcast, you will also hear from Kresse Wesling CBE of Elvis & Kresse discussing how BFTT funding enabled them to invent an open-source Metal Forge.
