Job Opportunity: IFTT Professorial Chair

The post holder will play a key role in the strategic development of the Institute of Fashion, Textiles and Technology (IFTT), UAL. They will help to establish relevant partnerships across industry, academia and government to support a portfolio of research, and research informed knowledge exchange.

They will show academic fashion, textiles and technology related leadership in one or more of the following: science; engineering; computing; smart manufacturing and business disciplines, and evidence of involvement at a senior level with relevant professional bodies or learned societies.

They will be familiar with the UK Industrial Strategy, and UKRI initiatives, they will have experience of planning and initiating the writing of research council funding bids as either Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator, building on a track record of attracting research funding and contract research.
