Job Opportunity: Research Fellow in Bio-inspired Textiles
An exciting opportunity to join the London College of Fashion at the University of the Arts London as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in bio-inspired textiles.
This post supports the Principal Investigator in the delivery of the Bioinspired Textiles: An investigation into biomimetic principles and their application to sustainable textile design and making, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
The overall aim of this two-year project is to determine whether biomimetic principles can be drawn upon:
- to advance sustainable textile design and production processes;
- to positively contribute to the circular economy, and
- to consequently develop an accessible framework as a template for the wider dissemination of biomimetic design practices as state of the art.
