British Fashion Council announces recipients of £1m award

The British Fashion Council announced this week the first round of recipients of the BFC Foundation Fashion Fund, supporting creative fashion businesses and individuals to survive the Covid-19 crisis.

Financial support will be given to 37 British designer businesses for a total awarded amount of £1m, which is allocated to viable businesses depending on their urgency and capability to come through and thrive post crisis.

The support by the British Fashion Council, the Future Fashion Factory, the Business of Fashion, Textiles & Technologies and other similar initiatives across the country is crucial for SMEs in the fashion, textiles and technology sector to navigate through the current crisis and become the leading enterprises in a post-Covid19, more sustainable future.
