Laura Solomon at Beyond Conference 2022 Poster Exhibition

Our R&D Project Lead, Laura Solomon, presented a poster titled, ‘Ananas Anam expands its products and a vision on regenerative business modelling’ at this year’s Beyond Conference Poster Exhibition. 

The Beyond Conference brings together researchers, makers, and investors across the creative industries to explore the relationship between creative research and business innovation.

Laura’s poster highlighted her work with the BFTT-funded SME Ananas Anam, which invented Piñatex® – a pioneering plant-based textile made using pineapple leaf fibre waste. It is vegan, carbon neutral and free from harmful chemicals – an alternative to the leather used in fashion, textiles, and interior markets.
