Coronavirus: Support for Companies and the Self-Employed

We recognise that this is a challenging time for small and large companies, their staff and all self-employed professionals working in the fashion, textiles and technology sector.

If you have been affected by the current coronavirus outbreak, you might find useful to refer to the following sources of information on how to mitigate the impact of the virus on your business.

The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) put together a comprehensive series of guides to assist UK fashion and textile companies during the coronavirus outbreak.

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, together with Public Health England, published a guidance on how the Government intends to support businesses in the current context. Visit the dedicated webpage for the most recent updates.

Innovate UK has just launched a rapid response call for projects with funding up to £50k available to UK registered businesses of any size. Projects must address a societal need that has emerged or increased due to the Covid-19 pandemic or the need of an industry that has been severely impacted or permanently disrupted. This call has now closed.

You can find additional information on the UK Government’s Business Support website, which has a section on the coronavirus emergency.

However, the most important thing is for you to stay safe and keep others safe by following the most recent advice from the Government and the NHS.

Across the BFTT partnership, the team is continuing to actively engage with all stakeholders, and where possible provide relevant information, and support to the UK fashion, textiles and technology sector.

Any enquiries regarding this work please contact – and otherwise the BFTT Team wish you all well.
